As a fact to be taken into account, more than 75% of the aluminium produced in the last 100 years, is still using today.

At ALIBERICO FOOD PACKAGING all the aluminium that comes into the factory is from a first fusion. Most of it is used to manufacture various containers, adapted to our customers’ needs.

Once the aluminium is used, the surplus is collected by suction, pressed and transformed into packages. Finally, this waste is melted and reused for other sectors in the aluminum market with the purpose of being regained.

Recycling one ton of aluminium saves 4 tons of Bauxite, which means a reduction of 9 tons of CO2 emissions.

ALUCOIL, A+ on new requirements

A new regulation modifying Technical Building Code took effect last December 28th .

This standard intends to promote even greater environmental sustainability by reaching almost 0 energy consumption on buildings. Tightly linked to this point, safety in fire situations is highly important, more specifically façade materials’ limitation on fire reaction depending on building height.

Modifications affect fire reaction requirements of ventilated façade and insulation depending on building height.

One more year, the students of VTC IES Biello Aragon visit IBERFOIL

On February 11th, the students of Electrical and Robotics Vocational Training Courses (VTC), together with two teachers, visited the IBERFOIL facilities in Sabiñánigo (Huesca).

During the tour they could see the inside of the facilities. The technicians informed them about the electricity, electronics and high-tech automatisms that the factory has. They could also see the new Edelweiss Rolling Mill working at full capacity and they could checked how the working reality in the world of aluminium is, being able to put into practice the knowledge acquired and seeing the instruments and machinery that is at the leading edge in rolling mill roughing.

This visit was the perfect way for them to get in touch with the professional world that awaits them, in IBERFOIL, they will find a future according to their professional qualities.

This action supposes the approach between specialized students and the labor needs of IBERFOIL, leader in the sector of thin and thick rolling mill.

ALUCOIL, immersed in a plan for sustainable development, supports Quality Education by participating, teaching and being a platinum sponsor in the Master of Architecture in Lightweight Façades that this year takes place in Barcelona.

The professionals of the Master of Architecture in Lightweight Façades, in which ALUCOIL has been collaborating for several years, have visited the modern facilities of ALUCOIL in Miranda de Ebro (Burgos). The attendees could see the different production lines, knowing first-hand the continuous manufacturing processes of larson® and larcore® panels. They could also check the management systems and strict quality controls to which all our processes are submitted in order to obtain products with a high technological value and our commitment to sustainability due to the efficiency in the manufacture and high recyclability of our raw materials.

The aim of this Master’s Degree is to prepare future building technicians, specialists in lightweight facades. ALUCOIL, in its continuous commitment to improvement and talent, has supported and invested in this Master’s Degree and in its students, encouraging the training of new experts in this type of facades.

AUPA MIRANDÉS! ALUCOIL with Miranda and its football club

A new milestone on its history. 

ALUCOIL keeps supporting sports and investing in Miranda de Ebro. Last Thursday, Club Deportivo Mirandes added a new milestone on its long history. For 2nd time ever reached semifinals at Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup), beating with lots of energy and effort some of Spain strongest rivals such as Celta, Sevilla or Villareal.

Club Deportivo Mirandes has become the only 2nd division team reaching semifinals in last 15 years, proving again that effort, illusion and commitment have its reward. After the drawing results, next game will take place on February 20th against Real Sociedad. ALUCOIL would like to send all its support and energy to keep making history and reach the final.

IBERFOIL advances with its investments

In 2017 IBERFOIL installed the biggest and most modern cold rolling mill in order to triple its production capacity.

Currently, a new investment is being made in order to increase the quality and diversify its range of products. Several old buildings have been demolished and all the new facilities are already being completed to accommodate the new production line that will be operational in April.

The new facilities have more than 4,500m2, where a new production line for tension levelling will be placed. It will continue increasing the quality and range of products due to penetrate new markets, especially those sectors which have delicate aluminium thicknesses.

Opening of the new ALIBERICO offices

Yesterday, Thursday 23rd January, the new offices of the ALIBERICO GROUP headquarters, from where the planning and management control of all the factories are carried out, were inaugurated. The new offices located in Madrid, more modern and sustainable, shows ALIBERICO’s new image and reflects its commitment to the welfare of people and respect for the environment.

The event was inaugurated by its President Clemente González Soler and was attended by the Mayor of Madrid, Mr. José Luis Martínez-Almeida, the Regional Counsellor of Economy, Employment and Competitiveness of the Community of Madrid, Mr. Manuel Giménez, and the prestigious and renowned architect Mr. Julio Touza, as well as employees, suppliers and close friends.

The remodelling project has been possible thanks to the commendable work of the team of the Touza Arquitectos studio, who have designed and coordinated the entire project from its initial design phase to its final execution. It is worth mentioning especially their involvement in the project and professionalism, taking care of every detail.
