ALIBERICO participates in the IV Congress of Civil Society: “The Spain that Leads”
ALIBERICO participated in the IV Congress of Civil Society, held on October 17 at the Cajasol Foundation in Sevilla (Spain), an event organized by the National Association Civil Society Now (SOCIA). The congress, under the slogan “The Spain that Leads,” brought together leaders and experts from different fields to discuss strategic topics, including sustainability, tourism, and infrastructure.
This congress, led by Aldo Olcese García, president of SOCIA and the organizing committee, aimed to promote a vision of excellence in areas where Spain can be outlined internationally.
María González, Counselor and Director of Marketing and Sustainability at ALIBERICO, had an important role in the round table titled “Spain as a Global Leader in Sustainability.” In this session, she shared the stage with influential figures such as Juan Costa Climent, former Minister of Science and Technology; Enrique Riquelme Vives, president of Grupo Cox; María Rotondo Urcola, board member of Telefónica and sustainability expert; and Pierre-Nicola Fovini, CEO of Finanzauto and vice president of STET.
During her intervention, María González explained how ALIBERICO has turned into a green industry through its corporate strategy, shifting from a linear to a circular economy within the group with the Iberfoil Integra investment project. She emphasized the relevance of industry in Spain due to its high positive social impact through stable, quality employment, and highlighted that industry can also have a low environmental impact thanks to technological innovation. This innovation enables the development of highly efficient processes, reduces waste, revalue it, and creates 100% recyclable products. She concluded her presentation by highlighting that sustainability is a shared responsibility that affects everyone and will be key to the future.
