aluNID® featured on El Hormiguero with the ARUS Formula Student Team from Seville
aluNID®, a leading brand in the aluminium honeycomb market, regularly collaborates with Formula Student teams from universities worldwide. This prestigious motorsport competition for university students promotes engineering excellence, challenging each team to design and build a single-seater race car to compete against other universities.
On Tuesday, November 21st, the ARUS Andalucía Racing Team appeared on El Hormiguero, the popular Antena 3 television show, to showcase their prototype car, built using aluNID®. This vehicle has competed in the annual Formula Student competition, also known as the “University Formula 1.”
aluNID® has been supporting the ARUS team since its inception by donating aluminium honeycomb for the monocoque chassis of their fully electric and autonomous vehicle. Additionally, aluNID® has provided impact attenuators, significantly enhancing the efficiency, safety, and performance of their race cars.
For years, aluNID® has collaborated with numerous universities, highlighting the crucial role of aluNID® material in Formula Student cars, particularly in tensile strength and structural resistance, as well as its wide range of applications in engineering and motorsports.
El Hormiguero aimed to showcase the talented engineering students from the Higher Technical School of Engineering of Seville, who have successfully transformed aluNID® honeycomb into a high-performance Formula 1-style race car.
As a proud partner of Formula Student teams, aluNID® continues to support advancements in engineering, new materials, and electric vehicles, reaffirming its commitment to innovation and the education of future generations of engineers.
